Laura Brecht (owner/ interpreter of D.I.S.)held the position of Latino Family Strengthening
Coordinator for our “ Bright Beginnings” program and was hired to be our first Latino Family Stengthening Coordinator.
Laura showed great strengths in getting the program off the ground and in the nurturing way she worked with families.
The program became a great success. Laura was able to instantly develop a trusting relationship with families.
For many of these women who lived in poverty, she provided ESL classes and school readiness groups where children socialized.
Laura is an advocate for the families empathically listening to their needs and helping them connect to needed resources.
She will truly be an asset at any non-profit or human service organization.
